Our people are the key to a successful operation. Our 2 Principals (Colin Leach, and Eddie Cousins) have over 50 years of experience between them, covering all aspects of the drilling process. ADS can offer significant expertise in drilling deepwater or remote (international) wells, managing the vital interface between operations and well planning.

Colin Peter Leach

Graduate from Cambridge University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a total of 26 years of upstream oil industry experience with particular emphasis on deepwater drilling. US (Houston) based for 20 years following 6 years in Aberdeen/London. Highly technical, with particular expertise in fluid mechanics and well control. Able to utilize these skills and work with operations personnel and other disciplines (geoscientists and marine engineers in particular) to increase the effectiveness of drilling operations. Colin's focus is on the design and operation of drilling systems that enable prospects to be drilled in the most appropriate and effective manner.

Eddie Cousins

With 29 years of upstream oil industry experience during his tenure with ConocoPhillips, Eddie brings a wealth of expertise in drilling, production, project management, wellsite drilling supervision, field appraisal program and project economics. Eddie led the Conoco Deep Water Technology sub-sea processing technology development and implementation program from 2000 to 2003 gaining DOE funding and credit for two patent pending deep water drilling and production methodologies.
